Microsoft Jewel

The original Microsoft Jewel embed is currently unavailable. This page now loads Match Jewels, a separate jewel-matching game offered as an alternative. Its title screen reads Match Jewels, and its level selector begins with level 1 unlocked. The aim is to build matching groups on a colourful board and work toward the objective displayed in the game.

Swap neighbouring gems to create a match

Press the play button, then select an unlocked level. Use the mouse to swap adjacent jewels and line up at least three of the same type. The opening board contains several distinct shapes and colours, so look at both features when checking a possible match. The first level shows a score counter and an objective of 100.

Before moving a jewel, identify the space it will occupy and the matching pieces beside that space. A useful swap creates a group at its destination. Look for combinations of four or five when the arrangement allows them; these longer matches offer another way to work toward completing the level.

Recheck the arrangement after each move

Let the result settle before planning the next swap. Work from the new positions on the board instead of repeating a move that looked promising before the previous match. If the objective is still unfinished, compare your current score with the displayed target and choose the next available group deliberately.
